Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society announces the hiring of Tamara Poles in the role of Director of Programs.

More students from underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering, and math will have the opportunity to receive research grants from Sigma Xi than in recent years thanks to a new $20,000 gift from the Ruby K. Worner Trust.

Presented to a Sigma Xi member who identifies as a woman, the award will recognize outstanding service and leadership potential of an early career scholar/researcher.

The theme for IFoRE ’22 is “Science Convergence in an Inclusive and Diverse World.” Attendees will take part in a variety of multi-track sessions that explore the strength of scientific research when diverse minds converge as well as ideas that conquer the challenges of increasing equity and inclusion in the research community.
