Students can win free registration to the Sigma Xi Student Research Conference taking place October 26–28 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport in California.
Conference sponsors GEICO, Annual Reviews, and Burroughs Wellcome Fund have generously offered to sponsor two-day registration passes, each worth up to $275, for 10 students.
GEICO will sponsor four students
Annual Reviews will sponsor three students
Burroughs Wellcome Fund will sponsor three students
How to Enter
All high school, undergraduate, and graduate students who register from 12:01 a.m. on October 3 through 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on October 8 will be entered to win. Sigma Xi membership is not required. Winners will receive a refund for their registration fees.
The Society thanks these sponsors in addition to another sponsor, Procter & Gamble, which agreed to sponsor one student's pass last week. The winner of the P & G pass is Andrew Lu of The Harker School.
Additionally, in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, students and faculty from Hispanic-serving institutions receive a 50 percent registration discount to the conference through October 15.
