SAS Will Demonstrate Its Visual Data Mining and Machine Learning Product at Sigma Xi’s Annual Meeting and Student Research Conference

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC—Sigma Xi is pleased to announce that participants of its 2018 Annual Meeting and Student Research Conference will have access to an on-site demonstration from SAS, an analytics software and services company based in North Carolina. SAS will demonstrate its SAS Viya product, Visual Data Mining and Machine Learning, designed for those who need to analyze large, complex data sets and build predictive models. The demonstration will show how to build machine learning models using SAS software. The latest SAS Viya platform will allow users to leverage other programming languages such as R, Python, or Java. 

This demonstration will be held in an afternoon session on October 27 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport in California. The Sigma Xi meeting will run October 25–28 at the same hotel, and bring together scientists, engineers, and students to discuss “Big Data and the Future of Research.”
