What Is the Student Research Conference?
The Student Research Conference is an annual celebration of student scholarship and research excellence. The conference invites high school, undergraduate, and graduate students to share their research and connect with professionals and peers. The 2020 virtual conference is a multi-track, dynamic, and engaging event that features:
- multidisciplinary poster and oral presentations by high school, undergraduate, and graduate students from schools, colleges, and universities worldwide,
- sessions on science communication, professional development, and research ethics,
- networking events for students to engage with colleges and graduate schools and explore higher education and career options,
- presentations by world-renowned scientists, engineers, and artists about the integration of arts and humanities in science and engineering, and
- a virtual festival of STEM art and film.
The Student Research Conference is open to submissions in the following disciplines:

Awards
Presenting students are nominated to associate membership in Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society. Top poster presenters in each discipline and education level and the top oral presenters will receive a medal, a monetary award and membership with the first year of dues waived.
