SIGMA XI STEM ART AND FILM FESTIVAL

Join us for the last event of the Annual Meeting and Student Research Conference—a free and public festival to explore science through different forms of visual arts, including photography, painting, 3D visualization, videos, films, and documentaries. A special exhibit will be dedicated to the theme of the Sigma Xi Annual Meeting, Our Changing Global Environment, featuring artwork and films that provide insights into environmental changes and challenges facing the planet.

Biography
Geraldine (Geri) Richmond is the Presidential Chair in Science and professor of chemistry at the University of Oregon where she has been since 1985. Her research examines the chemistry and physics that occurs at complex surfaces that have relevance to important problems in energy production, environmental remediation, and atmospheric chemistry. She received the National Medal of Science in 2016 and she is a member of the National Science Board
