Candidate's CV
Candidate's Statement: I have been a member of Sigma Xi since 1997, when I first became an Assistant Professor at Boise State University. I was honored to become a member then and to this day, I remain impressed with the Society's Mission "To enhance the health of the research enterprise, foster integrity in science and engineering and promote the public's understanding of science for the purpose of improving the human condition." I believe in the union of researchers to promote scientific creativity and principles, and I love the idea that this Society embraces researchers from all levels—students to professionals. In fact, I wish someone had introduced me to Sigma Xi when I was an undergraduate or graduate student researcher so that I could have benefited from this collective membership. Furthermore, I believe that "knowledge is power"; and therefore, I fully support Sigma Xi and all that it can do to help drive the public's understanding of science.
I have served as a past-Sigma Xi President of the Boise State Chapter, as well as a past member of the Northwest Regional Sigma Xi Nominating Committee. Now is my chance to increase my contribution to this fine Scientific Research Society and do my best to help Sigma Xi fulfill its mission.
