Welcome to registration for the Sigma Xi Annual Meeting & Student Research Conference. The Annual Meeting conducts the business of the Society through chapter delegate representation. The Research Conference features professional, undergraduate and graduate student poster presentations in all fields of science and engineering.

Student Presenters
Students who wish to present their research must complete a 2-step registration and abstract submission process.
Student Expenses
Students can anticipate expenses to include registration fees, hotel, travel, some meals, ground transportation, etc.

Friday, October 23 | Professional researchers present posters about their work. Sigma Xi chapters present posters about their activities. |

Friday, October 23 | Science talks at locations near the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. |
Power-up Breakfast
Saturday, October 24 | Students, Exhibitors and Judges prepare for the student poster competition by powering up with a light continental breakfast. The Judge orientation will be conducted prior to breakfast. (Included with registration.) Tickets will be provided only to those who select the option to attend the event during online registration. |
McGovern Award Lecture & Luncheon
Saturday, October 24 | The award presentation and lecture will follow the luncheon. (Included with registration.) Tickets will be provided only to those who select the option to attend the event during online registration. |
Sigma Xi Banquet
Saturday, October 24 | The Saturday evening banquet is the capstone of an exciting conference featuring the presentation of The Procter Prize Award & lecture. Enjoy an evening of fine dining, conversation, music and a cash bar. (Included with registration.) Tickets will be provided only to those who select the option to attend the event during online registration. |
Farewell Breakfast
Sunday, October 25 | The Farewell continental breakfast. (Included with registration.) Tickets will be provided only to those who select the option to attend the event during online registration. |

Bus Transportation to the Airport
Sunday, October 25 | Bus Tickets are US$15 each and can be purchased during online registration. Sigma Xi will arrange for buses to take attendees from the hotel to the Kansas City International Airport (MCI) immediately following the conclusion of the final Assembly of Delegates on Sunday morning. A ticket is required to board the bus. |
Registration Payments & Receipts
Payments may be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card. Chapter Designated Delegates may use Chapter EFT. Contact meeting@sigmaxi.org for other payment options. Receipts will be included in each registrant's packet on-site at the meeting.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- To receive a full refund of registration fees, written notification of the cancellation must be sent to meeting@sigmaxi.org by Monday, October 19, 2015.
- Effective Tuesday, October 20, 2015, a $25 processing fee will be deducted from all approved refunds.
- Requests for refunds of purchased bus tickets will be accepted through Monday, October 19, 2015.
- Refund requests for registration fees only will be accepted through November 20, 2015.
- Pro-rating of fees based on the proportion of the meeting attended cannot be authorized.
- Sigma Xi reserves the right to refuse refund requests.
