What Is the Student Research Conference?
The Student Research Conference is an opportunity for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students to:
- Present a research poster and compete for a medal, monetary award, and a year of free membership dues in Sigma Xi;
- Advance science communication skills;
- Hear from distinguished scientists and engineers attend career training sessions;
- Engage in interactive dialogues on our changing global environment
The Student Research Conference is open to submissions in the following disciplines:
- Agriculture, Soil, and Natural Resources
- Anthropology
- Cell Biology and Biochemistry
- Chemistry
- Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
- Engineering
- Environmental Sciences
- Geo-Sciences
- Human Behavioral and Social Sciences
- Math and Computer Science
- Microbiology and Molecular Biology
- Physics and Astronomy
- Physiology and Immunology
All presenting students are nominated to membership in Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society.
