Sigma Xi members and supporters raised $15,864 on Giving Tuesday to send American Scientist to 719 high schools throughout 2020. Schools receive a free, one-year subscription to the magazine. A subscription includes six issues of the science, technology, engineering, and math magazine. The schools were eligible if they are in one of 25 states where laws or proposals threaten the integrity of science education. The schools were identified through public nominations. Thank you!

In light of school closures due to the coronavirus outbreak, Sigma Xi will be in contact with the school contacts to share with them the magazine's online resources that they can use until they return to their schools. The magazines will continue to be sent to the schools so that they are available when schools reopen.
