To: Sigma Xi members and others
From: George Edw. Seymour, San Diego Sigma Xi Chapter President
Cross scientific organizational meetings are rare enough. Here is an opportunity to attend a noteworthy meeting by the AAAS–Pacific Division. Sigma Xi is a partner of this centennial meeting, which will take place at the University of San Diego in San Diego, California, during 14 – 17 June, 2016.
There will be symposia on a wide variety of scientific topics, poster sessions, contributed oral sessions, and field trips. Sigma Xi members within travel distance would benefit by seeing who is doing what in their discipline as well as related disciplines. Students always benefit from connecting with other students either at the symposia or during discussions at poster sessions. And the interested public is welcome, especially to the Friday afternoon sessions which are more generic.
First poster session content:
“Agriculture, Food, and Renewable Resources Ecology, Environmental Sciences, and Sustainability Education Evolution, Organismal Biology, and Biodiversity General and Interdisciplinary Psychology Science and the Arts and the Humanities Social, Economic, and Political Sciences.”
Field trips venture out to some of the famous San Diego CH3CH2OH locations including the Ramona Winery and the San Diego Microbrewery Field Trip.

N.B. If you are a visitor to San Diego consider visiting some exceptional events such as the California Wolf Center or experience flying a trained bird of prey to your glove, etc.
