Linda K. Meadows
North Central Regional Director
Ohio State University

Linda K. Meadows is a former vice president of the Ohio State University Research Foundation. She has served on the Society’s board of directors, several of its national committees and as president of the Ohio State Chapter of Sigma Xi. She is currently chair of Sigma Xi’s North Central Region. As assistant vice president for research at Ohio State, she was responsible for the university’s interdisciplinary research centers in the areas of mapping, cognitive science, materials and polar sciences. She also directed Ohio State’s undergraduate research initiative and research communications. Her other responsibilities included serving as university liaison with the State Science Fair, the Science Olympiad and the Ohio Association of Women in Science. Although she retired from Ohio State in 2002, Meadows continues to be active in supporting graduate students and visiting scholars there. She has been a visiting faculty member at universities in Japan and Taiwan and has held leadership positions in the National Council of University Research Administrators. Meadows received her Ph.D. in cognition and research policy at Ohio State.
