John A. Knesel

John A. Knesel has been on the faculty of the University of Louisiana at Monroe since 1985 and became an associate professor of biology there in 1990. His research is in animal sciences and reproductive physiology. He received his B.S. (1971) and M.S. (1974) at Northeast Louisiana University and his Ph.D. (1983) at Purdue University. He was a graduate instructor and David Ross Fellow at Purdue and served as a visiting lecturer and assistant professor at Purdue-Calumet from 1981-1985. He is a past president of the Louisiana Academy of Sciences. In addition to Sigma Xi, his other professional affiliations include the Human Anatomy/Physiology Society, Society of Animal Science and the Society for the Study of Reproduction. He is a member Chamber of Commerce Leadership Ouachita Executive Council and of the ULM President's Faculty Advisory Committee. Knesel is a past president of the ULM Chapter of Sigma Xi.
